These terms are the agreement between you and Codepilot SpA (Chile), which operates FitBlock (“we”, “us”). They cover the FitBlock app at app.fitblock.cl, this website and FitBlock’s connector for AI chat apps (together, “the service”). By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

A service in beta

  • FitBlock is in active development. Features may change, move or be removed, and things may break.
  • We work to keep your data safe, but in a beta, data loss is possible. Keep your own copy of anything you can’t afford to lose.
  • FitBlock is free during the beta. If we ever add paid features, we will tell you in advance, and nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement.

Health and safety

FitBlock is not medical advice. It is a tool to plan and time workouts. You exercise at your own risk.

  • Talk to a doctor or a qualified professional before starting or changing an exercise programme, especially if you have a medical condition, an injury, are pregnant, or haven’t trained in a while.
  • Stop at once if you feel pain, dizziness, faintness or shortness of breath, and get help.
  • Choose loads, intensity and volume that suit you. Timers, percentages of your records, plate totals, calorie counts and GPS distances and paces are estimates and can be wrong.
  • Routines created by an AI app, shared by others or found online can be unsuitable for you. Review them before training.
  • When you run outdoors, watch where you are going and follow traffic rules. Don’t look at your phone while moving in traffic.

Your account

  • You must be at least 14 years old to use FitBlock.
  • Give a real email address and keep your sign-in details to yourself. An account is for one person.
  • You are responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has used it, write to us at fitblock@codepilot.cl.

Your content

  • Your routines, notes, custom exercises and workout records are yours.
  • You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, free licence to store, copy, process and display your content, only to run the service for you: syncing it, showing it to you, and sharing it the way you choose. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from backups, which roll over.
  • If you turn on “Share by link” for a routine, anyone signed in to FitBlock who has the link can preview it and copy it to their account. Turning the switch off stops the link working, but copies already made belong to the people who made them.
  • Only add content you have the right to use.
  • If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve FitBlock without owing you anything.

Acceptable use

When you use FitBlock, don’t:

  • break the law or anyone’s rights, or use FitBlock to harass anyone;
  • try to reach other people’s accounts or data;
  • overload, disrupt or work around the security of the service, or scrape it in bulk (connecting an AI app through the official connector is fine);
  • upload malware or content that is unlawful, hateful or sexually explicit;
  • create accounts automatically, or resell or rebrand the service.

If you find a security problem, please tell us at fitblock@codepilot.cl before telling anyone else. We welcome responsible reports.

AI apps acting for you

  • You can connect an AI chat app, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to your FitBlock account. You decide its access level when you connect it: read-only, or allowed to create and change your exercises, routines and workouts.
  • A connected app acts on your behalf within that level. What it does with your permission counts as done by you. It can’t delete data or change your personal records.
  • AI apps make mistakes. Check what they create before you train with it.
  • The AI app is run by its provider, under its provider’s terms. We aren’t responsible for how that provider handles what you share with it.
  • You can change the access level or disconnect an app at any time in Settings → AI apps.

Third-party services

FitBlock lets you use services run by other companies: Google to sign in, YouTube to play music, and AI chat apps. When you use them, their own terms also apply to you, including theYouTube Terms of Service when you play YouTube in FitBlock. We don’t control those services, and they may change or stop working with FitBlock.

Our service

FitBlock’s software, design and name belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service under these terms. The exercise library includes descriptions adapted from the open-source free-exercise-db project (MIT licence).

Ending your use

  • You can stop using FitBlock at any time and ask us to delete your account, as thePrivacy Policy explains.
  • We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or when the law requires it. Unless that would be unlawful or put others at risk, we will tell you why first.
  • If we shut FitBlock down, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and a way to get a copy of your data.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limits of liability

  • As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or injuries that come from exercising, including with routines or numbers shown in FitBlock.
  • As far as the law allows, our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 50.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, such as for fraud or gross negligence, or takes away your rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Chile. Disputes go to the courts of Santiago, Chile, unless the consumer law where you live gives you the right to go to your local courts.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we tell you in the app or by email before it applies. If you don’t agree with the new terms, stop using FitBlock and ask us to delete your account; using it after the change means you accept them.
